Can anyone give me custom settings that they use that are not "ubar grafix" but a mid to high range?

My system specs:
Radeon 9800 XTX X8 AGP
Athlon 64 3200+
250 Gigabyte SATA harddrive
1024 MB Corsair Ram
Nvidia Motherboard

These are "meh" but I do well in game, however, lately I have noticed a dramatic change in gameplay after the 1.3 Patch. My computer seems slower. When I exit BF2, it actually takes a while to bring up my desktop background ( a bad sign) when it usually did it quickly and immeidiatly.

should be fine on med/low try re-patching the game also.

i have everyting normal except AA (4x) and shadow/light effects (high)

Try to update your gfx/mobo drivers. For me it did a HUGE difference - no CTD's faster loading, more fps.
