I noticed on BF2s.com that my accuracy is at about 20.32%
How can this be improved? I mean how is it counted?

What i think works,is using the single fire mode on weps such as the G36 and the G3.You get a lot better accuracy at close, medium range.But i always switch to full auto when approaching a flag or i know (!@#$) is about to get deep. -

I think it is your small arms (inculding defibrillator, knife, grenades and other explosives) shot/hit ratio. As far as I know, vehicles and placed wepons do not count. Still, 20,32 is not that bad an accuracy...Comment

It is counted by, in an average, out of how many shots, landed. If you want to improve accuracy, shoot at passing vehicles or choppers. Or be sniper and make those shots count. But it dosen't really mean anything. Your KDR is more telling than your accuracy. Infact, the only people that really have accuracy above 70 or 80 percent are probobly ace snipers.Comment

^^^ or just started playing the game, I have such a low score because i like to fire off rounds randomly, and i have been in many knife pistol servers, like I love mysti said KD ratio only mattersComment

The overall accuracy percentage is based on your total shots fired vs total hits. If you want to improve your acc percentage, stop randomly shooting at things. Make sure if you fire you are hitting an enemy. That is about the only way I know.Comment

Dudes, you can't increase your accuracy if it's total hits vs total number of shots. The percentage will stay the same if you hit 100% of your shots. Any less and it will go down. It can't go up.Comment

use semi-auto mode for primary weapons. just hit 3 again when your rifle is out and your firing mode will change as indicated by the little "A" or "1" (or "3" for 3 round burst weapson) in the lower right of the scren (in the box that shows your ammo).
I hardly ever use full auto. Semi auto is excellent at range.Comment

why would you want to try upping your accuracy, you will only enjoy the game less
accuraccy comes with practice only, so enyoy the game and the more time you put in the more you will get out.Comment

My overall is %23.57 and my Sniper Rifle is %53.3 for accuracy. Just practice man, semi works better than auto as mentioned above.Comment

A quick lesson in math on how the accuracy percentage can go up with additional hits.
Accuracy = # of hits / # of shots fired
# hits = 1 / # shots fired = 100 = 1/100 = .01 = 1%
imagine if you hit 100 of the next 900 shots you took...
# hits = 101 / # shots fired = 1000 = 101/1000 = .101 = 10%

Acuaraccy is so innacurate because think about the number of times you've spammed 100's of bullets in planes and tanks, as well of all those random bullets youve shot out of that hummer as well as that random clip of M4 you spammed into your friend while FF was off.
If you dont count all these things, peoples acuraccy would be much higherComment
