How can you all be happy about this? This means no fix on the crashing servers until late July at the earliest. This is BS for server owners who pay money for crashing servers. This is a problem that needs to be addressed now and not a month from now.

I can think of a few, including getting ranked servers started up faster, thus resulting in less empty servers sitting around doing nothing.

So agree! It is especially difficult to find open (non-full) servers with low ping for me. I get so pwned on high ping servers. I've had to resort to joining nearly empty servers and hope enough players join to start a game. The plus side is that a sparsely populated server means a better opportunity to get a gold/silver/bronze medal. Also, the rounds can take longer, so it is a good place to work on the ribbons that require you to be XX for twenty or more minutes.

To be honest I never really had all that many CTDs with 1.3 not any more than usual. I can understand the frustration people are having though. I bought a computer with a bad video card and that made my computer freeze and reboot windows everytime the graphics got heavy....imagine my frustration that when I got my replacement... the next card was bad as well. Now that both cards are good I rarely crash. As for the poster who mentioned the J10....well I dont want to start a debate about it as I dont fly all that often so couldnt give ya much of an arguement....I guess what I am getting at in my rambling is that maybe EA/Dice ment it to be the way it is.

The only problem with the open beta is that I think people are still gonna be dissapointed and bitch about the next patch. They will be able to fix some bugs but not others. The open beta will be to make sure there are no new bugs introduced while patching. I can see the testing quickly becoming...the J10 still isnt fixed.....the pkm is too powerfull etc etc.... I just hope it doesnt turn into whining and crying to EA/Dice or they may never be able to do it again.

Problem is, with the implied schedule, the production release of this patch probably won't happen until August at the earliest. Considering the negative impact of the 1.3 patch, it would be nice to see them mini-patch some things such as the "cartillery" sooner.

Finally some response from EA/Dice, and an admission of sorts that they royally ****ed up 1.3.

Yea i too would be interested to know if we could run 1.3 and the beta of new patch. Coz the community should get the chance to test it before it goes live!!

New map too -SWEET!!!!!!!!!

My only real gripe is the constant crashing etc. oh and the kark-hotel bug!!As long as they fix those i'll be more than happy!!

These guys have been impressing me latelly, return of free content is something everyone will defenitly love and i can say that this is a very good step in the right direction for EA/Dice.

Awesome, but Jalalabad sounds stupid. I know it's a real place but come on it reminds me of Team America's "Backalackadacka Street".

What's great is that it seems that EA/DICE are finally getting their heads together and doing something right.
