Why do people on forums have the need to post every new exploit, that just means more people want to use it! Don't post it, and esspecially don't put a friggin image up. Come on numbnuts, ring any bells here, your only making it worse!

Because the more people who know about it the better off we all are. Keeping it secret makes it useful only for those who know it and causes the people who don't know about it to be owned unnecessarily. Making it public lets people watch out for and come up with counters to it. Making it public does not have the effect of it being used by more people in a nefarious way. Just the opposite happens, no one will want to use it because they can easily be caught and banned because everyone knows about it.
The Karkand glitch gives me a reason to keep an AT mine in an alleyway. I read another counter to that glitch in that you can put c4 on the end of a tank barrel, push it thru the wall and blow up the exploiters inside. We wouldn't have these counters if the exploit was secret.
Only the exploiters win when it is kept secret.Comment

Re: wHy!! S#!7!
Releasing glitches does at least 2 things...- It makes the glitch public knowledge, thus increasing the chances that it will be notices and fixed in an upcoming patch.
- It allows other people (esp. server admins) to know what to watch out for in their servers.

Re: wHy!! S#!7!
1)because some people see a problem and belive that the best way of doing somthing about it is to make a post telling everyone about it thinking that if more people know about it the better we will be to counter it,Originally posted by die2flyWhy do people on forums have the need to post every new exploit, that just means more people want to use it! 2)some people do it because they are so annoyed at what they have just seen they feel the need to tell everyone for the comfort factor
many other reasons why people do what they do, people are people and will mostly do what they thinks best even if its not seen that way by many othersComment

I'll have to try it. Instead of crying to admins (a good thing to do) now I can own them like a man! Do you have any other counters I can read?Originally posted by lynxlyranThe Karkand glitch gives me a reason to keep an AT mine in an alleyway.
