patch 1.3 problem

when im run the patch (1.3) everything begin to be slow and its installing very slow after 2 houers its finisht to install it and when i tryed to play bf2 (after the patching)the screen blink and then it exit from the bf2 ....



what is the problem?

It takes a while to patch but 2 hours is very long, mine takes about 10-15 mins. I'd suggest uninstalling the game and trying again first, but really your problem could be anything.

What are your system specs?

Make sure you shut off your anti-virus program before installing the patch. Seems many of the virus programs have to scan each individual file before it will let it install. This will slow down the patch a great deal.

Agreed with tazman. Turn off everything in the background before you patch, and fully uninstall the game before your next attempt.

It took me 3 hours to fully patch the base BF2, but then again I have a slow machine, patching SF and EU took a lot less time.

It's handy having an X-Box sitting linked to your TV while you do these things.
