Help with Veteran Ground Defense

So, what are some good places to get vet ground defense. I managed to get five kills using a wall-mounted machine gun. The problem is that once you get a few kills, the opponent can spawn as sniper, flank and head shot ya. Any advice?

Well, I got vet, and expert doing almost the same thing (during different rounds). I was at Karkand (64 player), and on USMC. The MECs were foolish enough the let the US team cap everything except the hotel CP. I sat on the mounted MG by square and just ripped them apart. That was for vet, expert I got tank/ACP kills right at the round got going (square again), and about 6 on the mounted MG near the right hand side US arty. The rest were on the same MG at square, because the MECs again got stuck at the hotel. I know people say Karkand is a n00b map or what have you, and i will say that it gets old playing it after awhile, but nothing beats it when you are going for badges, ribbons, or medals........unless they have to do with air, that might be a little hard.

Join a Karkand or Mashtuur map, be commander drop arty.... there ya go.

exactly.... thats how I got expert ground and air defense..... Even though when you arty people, it doesn't show up as actual kills when you hit tab, the kills are still be recorded in your stats and you can get awards from it. Go to a ground defense in the middle of nowhere, get 30 arty kills while you rest on it, and poof, theres your expert badge...

I got my Vet ground defense, Vet Air Defense, and Expert Air Defense all in the new expansion map Operation Harvest. I am currently working on my expert Ground Defense. I would recommend the new expansion to help you with the Ground Defense, Air Defense, Anti Tank, and Explosive Badges.

Play as commander on karkand, or a map where you can get enough kills. Sit in a turret, and get X number of kills with arty.

I got mine the same way as a few others in this thread. Played DagingOilfields, sat in the TOW at the Chinese main, and arty'd the requirement (usually dropped on their main lol). Its cheap, but it works.

YA I got vet also need to get Expert since I met req's it is just hard to get that many kills.

Thanks for the tip. This is exactly what I was looking for. Now I have to wait for EA/Dice to fix the hotel wall glitch so I will consider playing Karkand again.
