Microsoft XP 64-bit edition. Just a hunch, but the 64-bit OS is crap and lots of stuff doesn't work with it. Anyone think that the 64-bit OS is causing a lot of the problems with BF2?

Re: This may be causing a lot of problems
BF2 worked fine in Vista 64 for me, and I just played it straight from my other hard drive without reinstalling it. -

Not as many people with a 64-bit OS as I thought. I still think it might be causing some problems, though. For example, either I'm doing something wrong, or nVidia's driver update won't download on my computer because it is only for 32-bit.Comment

I run 32 and haven't had any problems with BF2 and the OS. Don't confuse game code and patch problems with such things as problems with dual core, and specific issues with 64.

Re: This may be causing a lot of problems
I think his point was that people on Windows 64 may be having problems that aren't BF2's fault, since I believe there is an explicit disclaimer when you install it in Windows 64 that it wasn't designed for it.Originally posted by SciFiManI run 32 and haven't had any problems with BF2 and the OS.
