Hmmm. Reading those articles makes me feel optimistic about BF2142. I might actually buy it...Until I remember how EA screwed BF2 up.

Some of them do look pretty awesome, but I prefer the rounded maps where you can flank.

Until I remember how EA screwed BF2 up.

Even if I knew all of the problems it would have ahead of time I would still buy BF2 again in an instant.

Agreed, there are bugs, but they don't majorily affect my gameplay, I know this is not the case for everyone, if they sorted the bugs out, BF2 will live for a lot longer.

Some things I don't understand: First of all, if they are fighting for the areas without ice, what on Earth are the armies doing in Minsk or Belgrade; they should be at Kinshasa or Nairobi...

Also, if they name the maps about existing places, they should bother to make them similar to their IRL counterparts... Verdun without mountains and the fortress, Belgrade with an island in the middle or Minsk's large body of water is a bit surreal.

I'll probably buy it the day it comes out since I don't have many problems with BF2, and I sure got my money's worth from that. I'm sure BF2 will be around for a number of years yet. Heck, people are still playing that counter strike thing (I've never seen it) from years back. But I like the modern graphics so the oldest game I have installed is Red Faction.

Well, if Colin would ever get the community ranked map program going, it would be nice to see someone port them over to BF2.

It is the way of the future, unless you go subscription like Bizzard and make a $100 million a quarter. You think EA's stock (ERTS) would not go through the roof? Hell, know how EA is, they would charge you a monthly fee, then put ads in also. Book mark this thread! It is coming!
