Last night i was playing the map road rage.Well i used the AT kit,cause i have come to the conclusion that almost any other kit other than engy or AT is useless on that map.I didnt score many kills,just dealt alot of damage.But i could not seem to score the last hit.I would sometime pump 3-4 rockets into a tank but they would not blow up.Is there a point system that keeps track of succesful hits?I know u get a kill assist.But i only saw 2 of them that round.Needless to say i finished the round with 5 LOUSY POINTS.I nearly fainted.
Now i probably finish with 30-40 average.But i couldnt help but to think if i play on any other BF2 map as AT,i would score 20-30,cause i am not a veteran AT.

as for successful hits, the only counter is your accuracy with rockets.

simply take pride in the fact that they were damaged (though they probably went on to repair themselves if the commander was on top of things).

My advice is (even if your AT), stay near a TOW, since it deals more damage than an AT rocket. Hit them with an AT rocket then follow up very quickly with a TOW and you'll score yourself a kill guranteed.

That, and hope theres another AT person near you. wait for him to shoot then follow up his shot with yours.

Also know that there are places where you can hit the tank that will do more damage than other spots.

yep shoot a rocket at him and then hop on that tow misslle

Saw a lonely tank yesterday (no engie outside, no other vehicle or supplybox) that survived 8 AT shots. None of the shots went through the tank, apperently some of them didn't do any damage.
