Re: "Hey! I need a ride!"

This is one of my REAL pet hates of BF2.

    When you want a pickup..

Firstly, that message rose thing is rubbish, I can never get a message that I want a pickup out fast enough before they zoom off.

Secondly, I HATE it if they just ignore you. I'll never shoot them or anythin I just stand there fuming. That'll teach em :-)

When you've just got in a vehicle..

If you want a ride then SAY SO! I'll always shout "Get In" wait around for a few seconds to give people a chance to ask, anyone that wants a lift can get in. This may sound like I'm a nice guy but in reality I just want people to attack with, if I go in alone I'm toast.

However, as soon as you get 30 yards down the road then someone will start bleating - too late fella, you had your chance. And then, of course, they'll shoot you, even if you're vehicle is full.

      Lol so true :)

Off-topic though, the comms rose is so easy to use on my setup - I have a Logitech MX510 mouse, which has two extra buttons just near the left mouse button, I have these set as primary and secondary radio - works a treat.

      Scort.

Re: "Hey! I need a ride!"

The other day I jump in a buggy and pick up one of my squad mates.....I start driving and all of a sudden I hear over VOIP wher in the hell are you going? I guess I drove around in a circle....I didnt know the map too well....it was Road rage.

Ever accidently run one of your teammates over when rying to pick them up? I have done it many times and have had it happen to me alot as well. Kind of funny.

As for the little bird.....Be an engineer and sit in one of the side seats. Have the pilot fly straight down the raod and you throw mines down the middle!! great strat that was working well for me the other day!!!!

*Watches someone get into a car/boat/APC/transport heli mere metres away*

            "Gimme a ride!"

*Observes said player comming back for a pickup*

*vehicleowner teamkills ridewanter* (didn't hold e button)

            "ridewanter punishes vehicleowned"

Heh, solid tactics there my friend. You win on merit that way, albeit in the most minor way possible. Give the bastard the frowning of a lifetime, the ****er will RUE the day. That or DAO-12 his face off if you come across him again.

Haha, I recall driving a squad member around the outskirks of Kubra Dam once, trying to flank the enemy all canny and sly like. I decided to take a bit of a short cut through the rocky patch only for the car to flip over on a particarly bumpy patch, leaving us stranded in the middle of fecking nowhere. Bare in mind this was pre vehicle drop. "Thanks champ."
