Comp FREEZES using Armored Fury

Recently bought and installed the Armored Fury add-on. Now my comp is locking up when I try to join an Armored Fury game. The comp is completely frozen and I have to do a hard reset, which I never like doing. This happens about half the time, but only when I try to get into an AF match.

All other BF2 matches are still good to go, I can join without a problem. I have a decent comp: Asus A8N SLI mobo, AMD 3500+ chip, 1 gig ram, NVidia GeForce 6800GT vid card.

I've never had any issues playing BF2 until installed the AF. Would anyone have any suggestions?

What I'm about to use here is the third most popular word on these forums, after "noob" and "the":

Reinstall.

Reinstall BF2 and your addon pack(s) and see if it helps.

Not only AF, but any BF2 game. It freezes all the time, it locks the PC, it crashes all the time.

Hmmmmm, I don't really want to re-install. Who EVER does, LOL????

Is there a way to re-install without losing all personal settings (video & controller)?

Yeah. Uninstall and choose to keep your profile/settings when it asks you at the end.
