I choose 5000 because: I'm a big fan of warhammer 40k. If you removed the whole aliens thing you can see how a human vs human war could be VERY feasable, without big fancy lasers (although they do exist) and psychic powers (they also exist).

Imperial vs Chaos are always interesting battles, decided by bullets and sword, not by lightshows and face-huggers.

1000 is Medieval. I'd make the choices as 1000/Medieval and Renaissance/Napoleonic/New World eras.

Why are there no Korean war games? The dawn of choppers, all the nifty gadgets they perfected at the end of WWII, it would be a great setting.

And when playing orc's you will have more crappy weapons and stuff but more Players in your team :p "strenght comes in numbers" :)

Theres already some 40k mod being produced, i just used the setting as an example.

If i were to design such a thing, i'd of course use my own original content.

What could anyone find interesting about medieval combat in 1st person anyway.. wow, Oblivion anyone? Block, swipe, block, swipe... Shoot an arrow here, an arrow there, maybe. Get run down by some war-horse whore, or OMG lets not forget about ballistas or trebuchet's..

I mean come ON, play warhammer or something if you want medieval combat. Leave the FPS genre to real men.
