    BF1942 and Vietnam

I just bought the Battlefield 1942 Complete Set, and for those of you who dont know it includes BF1942/Road to Rome/Seceret Weapons of WWII/and Vietnam for 20 fricking bucks!! Anyways can someone specify if BF1942 and BFV have some of the same problems as BF2 does?? For example is there any squad hopping or stat padders or anything along those lines??
Also is there any patches for these games??

No stat padding because there is no official ranking system.

But..there ARE cheaters and exploiters and people who will 'do anything' to get that gold medal.

No squad hopping because there are no squads.

Tons of patches..visit the official EA site to get the latest.

Completely different games, completely different problems. Hit detection is better in BF42/BFV, although graphics worse

There is no stat padding, cos u only get points for kills and flag caps. There is no resupply (use fixed ammo boxes), no reviving, no squads (although you could buddy up), no squad hopping/spawning, can't remember about healing (although the fixed ammo boxes could also heal).....if medic could heal there was no points for it

Grab the full 1.6 patch and the 1.61 incremental patch for BF42 here: http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/1942/us/

Grab the full 1.2 patch and the incremental 1.21 patch for BFV here: http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/vietnam/us/

Both BF42 and BFV actually look pretty damn good on high setttings and are actually playable on high settings. BF42 had about as many patches as BF2 has and BF2 is only its prime about half the life BF42 had (if that), so it really wasn't all that bad.

No stat padding, just grabbin flags and kicking *ss, the way BF is supposed to be played. They didn't reward you for every mundane action you accomplished like they do in BF2, you got rewarded for doing what you were meant to do, not for seeing how many bags you could chuck or how many people could revive.

BF42 and BFV have some of the same problems that BF2 has because BF2 is really just an updated version of those engines and it is very obvious because of the replicated bugs from the first BF game. Wall glitching, invisible nades etc.

The great thing about BF42 and BFV, free content through patches.

Plain BF42 offered 16 maps straight out of the box, plenty of different vehicles for both teams and 5 free maps with different vehicles in it through the patches.

BFV offered 12 maps, plenty of different vehicles, 5 free maps through download and one free mod that brought several pure BF42 maps to BFV to show what could be done to those maps with the overgrowth vegetation.

Be wary of the BF42 bazooka men (in sp) that could aim those things like a mad sniper.

acutally this website tracks all players playing online, so you can see your stats:

unfortunately there is a way in bfv to manipulate your stats to get to the top of that stats list.
