Cannot Re- Install BF2

OK from the top!! I was haveing trouble with the patches never could get above v1.12 to install. Then I got the New Armor Fury and i started to get " theres a [problem with your conection " every 1-2 mins i was playing. So i uninstalled BF2 and SF I then used the EA eraser and cleared the register. I even did a file search for BF2 files and deleated all them ... i have deleated all Gamespy files and folders as well ... i deleated all the patches i could find and still when I try to install half wat threw it says " BF2 failed to install start from the begining " Someone have any ideas

I get the same error trying to install as well. I think it may be a scratched CD, but I don't have time to test that theory right now (leaving for 30 days of wonderful training at sunny Tyndall AFB in a few hours /sarcasm). So, if you have access to a friend disk or something, you might wanna give that a try.

i had the same problem even though i did a registry clean . i had to go deeper into the registry and take out a key code specific for the game. found the code in the ea help screens but took hours to find

Tyndall hugh..what do you do in the AF? I am stuck at Pope but luckly I leave here in about a month for Korea...Go OSAN>>>>>
