    joining friends in game

    Hi all. New here.

What's the easiest way to join a server with a friend? He's on one coast, I'm on another, so we often get a different selection of servers. Is there a streamline way like with Xfire or something (never used it... not sure what it's for). It would be nice to have a list of joint servers listed with joint pings, so we can join the optimal one...

    Pathetically yours,
    mLuke

hmmm since you guys are friends, i'd say the easiest way would be to use what we call a telephone, dial his number, one of you guys pick a server relay that information. viola! playing together...

get teamspeak and you can talk and play at the same time, that or ventrilo

The problem is that there's no quality control there. Ideally I'd like a list of servers where we both have low pings. For example the finland servers are fine for me, but he gets booted from them.

Another "problem" is playing on the same team. Is there a way to force the same side? Often we get autoteamed... We've even prefixed a clan name, but that doesn't help.

That wont make a difference. The auto-balance on servers is kind of lame in that it is either not working or working too well. Making a preffixed clan tag wont help prevent team switching. You need to make a squad and have him join on vice-versa.

A clan tag only helps the clan that enters the tag into the filter on their own server.
