G`day all.
Got a question for ya........If 20-40 is a good ping, how far can i go without getting kicked, for a bad ping? I`ve tried 280, kicked.....thats not that much.....is it? I mean. I play on Easternstates severs with a ping of 120-180.

Most servers will kick for a ping of 200-300, and 280 should be unplayable.

Many servers will tell you if they kick for high ping and at what levels. Most servers have a website affiliated with them somewhere. Try to check out the server rules before playing to find out for sure.

I routinely ping 280 or higher on my regular server (I am in Europe, it is in the U.S). I assure you it is playable, you just have to be mindful of your surroundings and the battle. Yes, If you round a corner and are toe-to-toe with an enemy, you will most likely lose. You just have (try) to avoid those situations as best you can.

Obviosuly, aiming and hitting your target suffers the most when you have high ping. If you enjoy playing a server that has a high ping, continue to play it but maybe try to play more support roles that have you shooting less and supporting more (medic, engineer, support, etc.)

What's the point on even playing on a server where you can't get close-quarters kills? Just play on a server where you get a low ping :hmm:

i try to aim for a ping <100. above that tends to screw me up.

So I can only play on OZ AND NZ servers? Does anyone, play on international servers? What about clans and stuff like that?

i agree with N2K, if my ping is any higher than 50-60 i will most likely leave the server and find a better one. You are better off just finding a few good servers with nice pings and just stay with them.

All u lucky peeps that can get 16+ must have no more than 20 ping!! Depends on the server u join too though!

^^^^ to where? I get low pings like that at my local server aswell, thats like 10km away........120-160 3000km away.:)

Wrong m8. If u have let say 3mb down and 2mb up it enouf for you. Ping depens how the game has been coded and from location.
Lets say you are from Japan and have 100mb connection u still get more than 200 ping to USA servers.
