Nope, not after what EA/DICE did with 1.30. My friends and my clan are going to try Quake Wars instead.

Yah Know I've watched and gotten excited about a lot of games that have turned out to suck or be mediocre. Quake Wars better be the best FPS since Half-Life or I think I'm just going to laugh at all the people who bashed the Battlefield series and jumped on board the Quake bandwagon.

Absolutely not. I don't like fantasy shooters or futuristic shooters like HALO, and that's all BF2142 is.

Also, on the professional side, I refuse to buy any more Battlefield-related products until they get their act together on server crashes and other issues. Their customer support, QC, and general responsiveness to their customers is utter garbage.

I really like BF2, but I'm left wondering if Quake Wars will deliver a more responsive, glitch-free experience, due to their likely superior engine. I probably won't buy BF2142 unless it's a ridiculous hit, and critically acclaimed.

I will not buy anything related to EA or DICE until the $hit know as 1.3 is fixed. I play to relax and nothing is more relaxing than server crashes and "Problem with your connection" and CTD's. I never had a problem until I installed the full patch of this piece of $hit.

WIth three futuristic shooters coming out about the same time, Quake Wars, BF2142, and UT2007, I am going to have to see. I am really leaning more towards UT 2007. UT has so many different gameplay types and is a total blast to play.

Right now, I'm not too keen on the concept of a futuristic FPS. However I will play the demo and if I have fun then I will buy the game.

i wish people would stop bashing games before they have even at least tried the demo. i pesonally plan on playing the demo fo both quake wars and bf2142. i liek them, i will buy them, thought im tihnking that once the nerfing starts in bf2142, i will sell it on ebay to someone. not playing a game because they havent fixed another si stupid, because obviously if the new game becomes a hit, they wont support the odl game as much.
