staticy sound

is there any possible way to fix this? i have had it since the 1.3 patch!





i used the full patch after reinstall so i dont think thats the issue!
its like barely noticable but really irritating!
almost like radio static but less of it! at random times in game!
a buddy of mine gets this to!

I get the same thing. I'd love to hear of any solutions.

I also find that a few miutes into a new session, my in game VOIP decides to cut out. My mic works but no one can hear me.

Not had problems with 1.03...I had sound problems with first relaese (especially VoIP)...you may be seeing something similar...

Look at your DirectX sound settings. I had to switch OFF DirectX sound acceleration.

From Start>Run type> dxdiag.exe this will open the DX management GUI. In there select the sound tab and move the scale to No Acceleration...This may help :-)

Also make sure you don't set affinity of your processors to single processor if you're running a single P4 mutli-threader...that messes with the sound too; although for true dual processors EA suggest you run single processor (they obviously don't support multi-proc.)
