EA & DICE decided in their 'infinite wisdom' to disable unlocks in UNRANKED servers with the 1.3 patch. So you are wrong

Re: Teamwork and having fun in BF2

I thought it might be interesting to list some of the other names we come up with for strategies. Some of them are pretty standard, and some of them are pretty funny. Some strategies are map-specific and some require you to be on a certain team on a certain map.

        • Trojan Horse: Mentioned above – Can be used on most maps.
        • Flying Squirrel: When the round first starts, the SL jumps in a jet and flies toward a base that is important and difficult to take. He jumps out and skydives near the flag. Once he is on the ground, he tells the rest of the squad “feet are on the ground” and they all spawn in and cap the base while the SL hides. One person is designated to be support and one is designated to be spec ops so we can blow up the toys faster. On servers that do not have a countdown timer, we can usually take the base and blow up the toys before half of the enemy is in the game. – Works best on Wake Island (airfield), Kubra Dam (intake) and Operation Clean Sweep (communication central for 32). Also works well on Dalian Plant and Daqing Oil Fields.
        • Evil Island Oppression: Take a transport chopper or plane and jump out on the small island near the carrier on Wake Island. SL hides as much as he can while we blow up the artillery and kill anyone who spawns on the island - Map specific to Wake Island and can only be done as the Chinese team.*Note that we will only do this on servers that allow it. If a server does not allow this tactic, we will not even attempt it.
        • Cutch Special: Obviously named after one of our members, Cutch777 and is designed to win the round by “voting” the Chinese off of the island. This one is also map specific to Wake Island and can only be done as USMC. While holding the southern bases (south base, beach and Airfield) make a slow, controlled push to the north base while the SL spawns on the island with the arty (Evil Island). The SL takes a boat to the north village and the rest of the squad spawns on him and caps the flag. Now you have all of the bases except north base and you can squish them from both sides.
        • Reverse Cutch Special: Same as above, but the USMC holds the northern bases and takes a boat to the south base.
        • King of the Hill: As MEC on Strike at Karkand, take the squad to the South - West side of the map to the large hill. Be sure to have at least one GOOD medic to keep you alive while you push to their spawn points below, blow up their arty and destroy the tanks/APCs. There is a bizarre phenomenon with this particular tactic. As USMC, there is almost no strategic value to holding that hill, but if you attack it as MEC and make a lot of noise, the USMC will try to push you back. This means they are not attacking the hotel or other bases with those forces and it takes some pressure off of the rest of your defending team. This strategy only works on Strike at Karkand as MEC and should only be employed at the beginning of the round. Once the USMC takes a base or two, the squad should move back and support. *Note that we will only do this on servers that allow it. If a server does not allow this tactic, we will not even attempt it.
        • Tornado of Death: As MEC on Strike at Karkand – After a successful King of the Hill, move across the street to the other arty/spawn point. The entire squad moves in a circular fashion around the small building, never standing still. As the enemy spawns, kill them. Works best if half of the squad moves clockwise and half moves counter-clockwise. This strategy only works on Strike at Karkand as MEC and should only be employed at the beginning of the round. Once the USMC takes a base or two, the squad should move back and support. *Note that we will only do this on servers that allow it. If a server does not allow this tactic, we will not even attempt it.
        • Whiskey Rag: When your child is making a lot of noise and you want him/her to go to sleep so you can play BF2 in peace – Take a rag and dip it in whiskey. Tell your child to suck on the rag and presto…they are asleep in no time. (Just kidding. Whenever one of the other guys has “baby duty” I tell them to use the whiskey rag so they can play sooner, but no one ever does…not quite sure why :p)

I know that some of you will be upset about some of the “base-rape” tactics, but as I said, we only use those tactics if the server allows it. Most servers actually put in the server notes if they allow that sort of thing.

        Enjoy,

I for one, think these tactics in particular are simply genious :p

No need to go all flaming-troll there kiddo. It's a game after all. When I read someones post, I try not assume anything, especially with someones playing style as it varies widely from one person to the next.

To be clear, your reply to my innocent query about unlocks is what can be considered a "flaming-troll" post. What on earth was in my reply that would be considered a "flaming-troll" response?

But, okay. So I understand you correctly, you can flame and insult others, but we're not allowed to respond, right? Got it. Do you have any more rules we need to follow? Us "kiddos" ( if you only knew how funny that was ) seek your guidance.
