Just join the lame medic rehealers infinite super god mode health club and become a medic and re-heal yourself...

    Or

Kill an enemy medic (oh cmon, the entire team is usually compromised of snipers and medics, so you shouldnt have a problem) and then use their kit to re-heal yourself.

I quit project reality after i realised it's still possible to re-heal yourself, pfft. Some "teamwork/realism" orientated mod that is, only thing they actually did in that mod is remove things and add some new maps. Totally dissapointing.

Sometimes he hears you, and he just pulls his bag out and won't even throw it onto the ground.

Lately I have found that it is RARE to have a medic actually heal/revive you.

It might sound bad, but if they don't drop the bag within 10 seconds of me making it obvious (IE stand in front of them and spam I need medic), I TK them, pick up their kit, throw a pack down, and pick my kit back up. I don't revive them because they are retarded.

I think the best thing is to make it so there are no self-heals/ammo and that would make them think less for themselves and actually use it the way it was supposed to be used. Maybe make it so that you can't throw a pack and pick it up for an insta-heal, but make it so that if you are healing YOURSELF, you have to hold it out and slowly heal. For others, just toss em.

My top kit played, is medic, so trust me, I wouldn't like this... but... think about it. It would make the medic kinda stupid if you just plan on healing yourself and forget the other people. As it is, we have a powerfull *** gun (all 4 are powerful) which is extremely accurate... PLUS heals and revives.. and grenades. I think there should be more of an incentive to heal other people...

Why did they ever make it so it "charges"? I liked it when the whole team was medic and they actually FOUGHT to revive you...

So what do you do to deal with this?
well have you seen some of the threads on here, medic dont revive me. and they go on and on, so now i only revive in my squad, screw anyone else . if there was an off switch it would make our lives a lot easier then that way , There was one time i had revived this guy and he got up looked at me and shot me in the head., (not funny) i went what the hell, he said i didnt want to be revived , i then replied "im no john edwards you know" .

why doesnt someone do a server and name The Lazy Ass Medics, then get all the stand around looking lost medics and the ones that dont like being given life ,then we would all be happy.

I'm typically a medic so I don't run into this problem often; however, the same issue occurs with Support troops and ammo bags. I'll make several requests, if no response I pull out my pistol and fire off several rounds near them (not at them) followed by another request. Works almost every time. When it doesn't, I look for someone else or a supply crate. I never TK someone intentionally.

The obvious solution to this problem is to pick a medic yourself. Because you're a fool if you play anything other than a medic (excluding switching to an AT once in a blue moon to make up for crappy pilots/armor or using an engineer while vehicle whoring). Let's face it, the medic is so far and beyond every other class it's not even funny, they have the best guns, 3 grenades, the most durability, and the priceless ability to revive another player and save your team a whole lot of tickets in the process. I typically play in a 2 man squad with one other medic and very often I find that we can siege a base guarded by 7-8 enemies no problem killing them all at least twice. Sure we might die in the process a couple times but that's a non factor because we're back alive in seconds. The shocking part is even though I know the superiority of the medic even on Karkand I'll smack my "Need a medic!" button when I die and I'll see maybe 2 or at the most 3 medic symbols out of maybe 20 players.

That being said I have no problem tossing down a pack for a badly wounded player or even following them with my pack out when they are wounded. It's for the team of course, and for the point whores the healing point isn't a horrible incentive either.

My two cents: I usually avoid him for the rest of the game, if the guy isn't smart enough to earn himself some quick and easy points. That's a pretty obvious display of a definite lack of skill, a lesson I don't wanna learn the hard way when he starts chucking grenades... or worse, flashbangs. I'll die to a friendly grenade any day over being blinded and running around like a moron just to get knifed or run over. Hell, I've seen commanders call in artillery on a single target that's seemingly not moving, no need to sweeten the deal with your own death. In summary, I try and get far, far away from anyone who looks like they don't understand the most basic principles of the game. For all I know, they don't know what blue dots mean and they're just happy someone's in their crosshairs and not shooting back at them.

On the other hand, I typically play medic on the original maps... whether lone-wolf/one-member squad or part of a half-decent squad and I'm always quick to offer even minor heals to whoever is closest. So I can't really sympathize with the medics who don't understand their role in the battle.
