Everytime I connect to server, "Click Join Game" and get disconnected

No matter which server I go into, I fully load up, then I click "Join Game" and it shows me the team selection screen for a few seconds then disconnects me and says "Your Connection to the Server has Been Lost". Then I re-connect, and everything goes smooth. No matter which server I join, this happens. Also, it happens with my Norton Firewall activated aswell as disabled.

Also, sometimes when I am playing, I will be doing OK, low ping, and get a random server disconnect.

It is really a pain when trying to play BF2 and was hoping someone here could tell me how to finally solve my problem.

Any help you could offer would be great!

I've had this crap before and it's happning again now, last time I just waited for EA to wake up and do something.....

Did you send an e-mail? Or do I wait for it to correct itself? (b/c a friend I play with has 0 problems)

Hey dude im haveing the same problems, thought it just started with the patch.

i installed the full 1.3 patch which is like 30 MB bigger now and i havent had one crash or disconnect yet. Uninstall your game and reistall and use the full patch and see if that works. The patch should be around 438 MB i think.. good luck

dont click join game.. hit esc and it should almost never crash i have no clue why but i tried and it works

I’ve tried it all, and seen the same advice fly about each and every time EA screw up the game.

Game works fine for a few weeks then something happens, in the beginning I used to chat with the EA call centre, they always told me the tech team was working on a fix or some par off….

These days I simply wait it out, people have puzzled over why only certain people get certain problems and not everyone.

I remember for months only certain people suffered from a strange lag issue unlike the natural FPS lag issues flying around the community.

This lag was different, and the fact it only hindered certain people made it very hard to pin down as a problem let alone start on trying to get it fixed some how. Months passed until it simply disappeared, not even due to a patch.

Thing is, in many ways it’s like this problem, its not effecting everyone and in that light I believe the urgency to fix the issue drops, god I had some trouble even convincing EA that I had problems and was fortunate enough to have a very good computer and fast connection to back me up when they started pointing their finger at my specs.

I had to send in an e-mail with my comp specs and the issue and even then no one got back to me.

Problems come and go, I expect the same for this one once they fix it their end.

After all, this exact problem happened to me and others alike a few months back, then just like the rest it was fixed not by re-installing or re-patching, just by simply trying to enter the game one day and all was well.

In over ten years of online gaming I’ve never seen a game come close to the amount of problems that hinder this one and I’ve played some games from their birth to their final days….
