it was the obvious map for push style gameplay - right now it is perfect for tactical, realistic long range combat but it's just far too big for BF2 style combat
right now you can be at one end of the map only to find a flag at the other has gone hostile and you can either:
- make a long trek to that flag and find that by the time you got there the action has moved back to where you were
or
- stay put and hope something happens remotely near your position
Yea I was gonna make a thread on how you never see variety in map rotation anymore. Im getting tired of the 24/7 servers I play in and the rest always have limited number of maps.
im looking sesperately for all map servers now. i found a "6pack" server which has all 19 maps - AF and EF. only problem is that because of the 1.3 patch, th server usuually crashes, so it stillgoes over the same maps.
I remember playing those maps, when EA/Dice use to rotate maps, every month. So you had variation between months. i.e. everyday at the same time Strike at Karkand would be on, but next month at the same it would Zatar or another map.
Too big? haha thats what you get for playing 24/7 little noob city maps. The game include vehicles so you can get from place A to B fast. Jeeps, jets helis.
What about fushe pass 64? Or Dragon valley 64? Those maps are great. But because noobs get owned they prefer city maps so they can get to very high roof top where no one can hit them and try to make 8 points per round.

I like Dragon and Fushe 64 they're great maps. I'm just not a Zatar fan.
