Sound lagging in Battlefield games....

I am currently having a problem with my sound lagging in BF2. From starting BF2 to playing seem to be running about 2 second behind on all sounds. Even the EA entry screen sound is slow. This problem just started about 2 nights ago. Thought everyone was stoned by sound of VOIP. Welcome commander voice, even all commo rose voices are slow. Please help....Here are my stats ....

Version 1.3 with AF and EF
Soundblaster Audigy 2
PNY 6600 256 AGP CARD
1 G RAM
2.0 GHZ PROCESSOR.

I started getting sound issues couple of minutes ago, and came here to check if im not alone..
I think it's a punkbuster issue.. like it was in another patch... i'll try updating and see if it works.

my pb was up to date. anyway, the problem is fixed.. just restart the game..

Since you're using an Audigy 2, you should also replace the OPENAL wrapper in BF2 with the latest one supplied by Creative Labs (if you haven't done so already). Doing this helped me with a lot of sound lag issues. I have an Audigy 2 ZS, running on High with hardware / EAX enabled and it sounds great, no lag, no stutters.

Thanks. The solution was to uninstall and reinstall the Audigy card. Creative was hery helpful in giving the exact steps to remove and reinstall the card. Sound runs great. (fingers crossed)
