    New to modding..

Ok, I recently started to TRY to mod for BF2, ive only done slight modding in much simpler games before. So to start I downloaded the newest mod editor. (should i even use that, or something else?) Then, I created a new mod in it and tweaked some stuff that would be easily noticeable in game (ammo, reload time, health, clip size) to see if it worked. So i started the game up, realized no maps and no AI and stuff so i put in the BF's default AI and maps.... then i booted up the mod again, and there were absolutely no changes ingame, but the mod file showed 1kb folders saying eryxtweak and stuff like that.. so, can any1 give me a tutorial of just changing the games properties, no fancy stuff. I just need to know how to play the mod (well, have the mods changes be shown when i boot up the mod, im not a noob, i kno if im in the mod or not). Thanks.

He isn't mapping. Unless you are mapping the editor just complicates things.

Stalker, from what you are saying: It sounds like the files you modifed exist in a folder such as this "BF2/Mods/YourMod/Objects". This is where the editor places it's modifed files. You need to add your modifed files to your mod's "objects_server.zip" in the correct places. Just follow the file structure that already exists.
