Has much changed in the BF2 community over 7 months?

I sold BF2 last october on ebay cuz I got ****ed off on a game of OCS (Worst. Map. Evar) and put a hole in a wall or something, so yeah, I missed it dearly... just bought it again with Special Forces

Is the community still full of teamkilling / punishing tards, and inane fools, etc? Is there any more team playing? If so... anyone got any server names for dedicated squad playing?

Oh its still full of that. Dont forget the infinite number of things that are wrong with patch 1.3...

I think I stopped playing on 1.1, not long after Wake came out. I didn't have any game issues. How much has that changed now? Ok so I got the odd server connection problem, and the lag was like a tree in the ass, but overall was smooth.

This is quite posibly the worst time to come back to the game. Maybe after the 1.4 patch would have been better.

basically DICE broke the game, huge glitches like game crashes, wont hit enemy, destroyed competitive gaming, server browser even more ****ty

Naaah, it's still the best game I ever played :)
Plus the toob, bunny hopping got nerfed, the BH got nerfed, missiles have a (slightly) better chance of hitting and the sniper rifle is dead accurate (yay)

BF2 is a zero sum game. For every person that is hating the game there is one person that is enjoying it. I am the latter. Bf2 gets 5 out of 5 stars.

Basicly your best servers are the ones closest to you / with the lowest ping. You'll have more issue with Lag over Teamwork.

You put a hole in the wall over a video game? I think you should have put your computer up on eBay too.

As to your question - things have gotten a bit better. Not quite as much punishing for accidental TKs, no bunnyhopping noob toob spamming fags, no C4-chucking noobs. There's still people who stand in front of jets to force teamkills, there's still TKers on servers with punishing disabled and there's still a few bugs in the game. But those bugs only **** off the die-hard CALtards that complain about every patch.

i still enjoy it. I play on a different server each time i play. Which ever has the lowest ping is the play i play on. I never have problems with team killers or anything like that. i don't try and whore the vechiles and most of the time just squad up if there is a good one on my team. Or just lone wolf it around.
