    BF2 Start Problem "Insert Disc..."

I have just installed BF2 and it installed fine. I have the dvd version.
I restarted then straight away went to play it. I click Battlefield 2, the big box comes up with Battlefield 2 across it. Then quickly a dialog box comes up saying "Pease ensure Battlefield 2 Install Disc is in the drive, select OK and restart the application." I have pressed OK and retried countless times but never works... The disc is in the drive and if i reinsert it that small box opens with options like "Play BF2" and "Uninstall" stuff like that... The disc appears in My Computer. IT JUST WONT PLAY!!
I have a DVD ROM drive.
    What could be going wrong?!
    Do i need a DVD-RW drive?
    Thanks!

Mm... you sure you didn't download the game? lol

I've had my fair share of BF2 pain but that's never been an issue of mine. I'd say you download daemon tools and get a mini image of BF2 and mount it with daemon tools. Just search google for daemon tools and you can get the image from www.gamecopyworld.com .

    Good luck :)

      thanks for your help, richi
i have been to game copy world and found the bf2 page but there is a list of a few different ones with stuff like fixed exe etc next to the, which one should i download?
      i just want standard bf2.

also, i just looked up my dvd drive on the manufacturer website (LG) and found it is 16x so SHOULD be compatible...

Stupid question, but are you using the right disc? There are two.
