BF2 is not fun anymore.

I can safely say I am looking forward to bf 2142. When i first heard about bf2142 i was skeptical with it being a futuristic game, however things are different now. BF2 isn't enjoyable to play anymore imo.

I played for about 2 hours tonight and i was spawn killed in every round 7/8 times. Players constantly nading and using claymores. Players putting claymores into spawn points. Assault weopons eg fn2000 rediculously hard to hit at mid/long range. Inbalances in other weopons. Players glitching their way into buildings and being invulnerable. I was in several teams who did nothing more than shoot to get points. 3 server disconnections happened and i had to reboot my comp when bf2 crashed.
And this was just city maps i was playing.

Planes are rediculously hard to take down. Heli weopons, especially the tv missile being nerfed way too much....etc etc....rant rant....crappy booster packs too....

I really can't be sacked with this game that leaves me feeling more stressed afterwards than i was before. There was a time when it was fun to play. I just feel like it's a complete waste of my time. So many bugs in the game.

I am now looking froward to bf2142

Well this is a new game EA can sell. EA can actually make money out of this so they should make as good a game as possible. There's no way they would sell a game like bf2 patched to 1.3. Too many bugs.

One of the maps was karkand, there was a glitcher in the hotel killing people.

Look around until you find a server with good admins who are on most of the time. That alone will solve most of the issues you are having. As for the server crashes....nothing anyone can do so just wait that out with the rest of us, lol.

I feel for the guy who started this thread. Some nights, the game really does seem difficult to enjoy, because everything that can go wrong, does... Mr. Murphy's along for the ride.

My only suggestion is to jump out and go to another server. As many times as it takes to find some fun people to play with. I do that a lot - if the feeling isn't there, or a clan's stacking one side, or I just feel like it'll be unlucky, I leave and find another server.

My total objective in this game is to have fun. If a server isn't fun for me, I leave it without hesitation or frustration.

I guess you didn't notice that BF2142 is being built on the same engine as BF2. So everything you just experienced in game will happen in 2142 as well. There is no getting away from the pub nubs who's only concern is getting points so they can get the next medal, unlock or whatever stat garbage.

try playin coop mode, you against 48 bots, just sit there and shoot, throw nades at em, its fun and can be hilarious at times...plus i love seeing my score at +300 points

If you're tired of bf2 and the glitches/errors/general bugginess what makes you think 2142's gonna be any better? Same engine, same desginers, same coders, same companies. It's gonna be b2 all over again.

uh...things will just be the same in bf2142...all bf games have been like this in one way or another...always was something. To be honest I can just see it being worse than bf2...I mean mechs, squad leaders with little hovering gun platforms following them around, kits that can cloak!...uh, no thanks.

the good thing about BF 1942 though was there were no ranks, no medals, no unlocks, people played for the fun of the game, alot better quality players on(though I admit there were alot ofd smacktards but not as many)

Umm not really. I was on a Pistol & Knfe only server(THE BEST!!!) and this one admin just banned eveybody for no reason.
