SF makes a nice change every once in a while so its worth the extra cash, just go for it. You get some extra unlocks for vanilla aswell.

I would say it's pretty similar to BF2. The problem is that there is nothing special on Special Forces.

I thought they would implement the night vision googles right.
Which would have been like one side uses NVs (Seals/Brits) and the other one flaslights and car lights (Insurgents).

But in the game it's just that both sides are running around with a green screen.

Otherwise than that you will have a lotta jerkiness on the maps.
Gator is unplayable for me and the other maps can get pretty jerky too sometimes.
And don't forget the Heli lag on Surge as someone mentioned before.

The gameplay and the performance hit pretty ruined the expirience for me, I wouldn't pay the 40 bucks again.

But check it out for yourself.

So I decided on buying this game tommorow thanks for the input! And 1 more quick question, I've been grinding a lot more in BF2 for my next unlock, and if I have SF installed before I get my next unlock at 5k I can get the 2nd new sniper right?

The zip line and the grappling hook add a new dimension to the maps.
Sometime the action gets very intense at the capture points. It is CQB so ID your targets because its easy to team kill.

In my opinion yes, SF is better than BF2. It provides more exciting game play and action. I really enjoy the 64 player versions of Warlord, Ghost Town, Mass Destruction, Devil's Perch and Night Flight. Don't really care for Surge at all. Leviathan and Iron Gator are too unbalanced, though both can be intense if the attacking team isn't shut out.

If you can, get it. I have and love it. Surge, Warlord, Ghost Town are some awesome maps.

Another advantage besides repeating what is already said is some of the SF maps will make it easier to get certain badges/ribbons. Especially Ghost Town. I still find its fun to play both Vanilla and SF. I usually have a bit better opportunity to get in planes/helos on vanilla maps, but I think SF requires much more teamwork, so many SF servers have higher caliber squads.
