Spawn camping/raping

Probably the millionth thread on this but......

Why do people moan so much when they spawn at a hotspot on the map and get instantly killed?

For example Karkand, pretty much every server ive played on lately tries to enforce the rule that Usmc cant stay around the alleys to mow the Mec down, yet its perfectly acceptable for the T90 and Btr's to park say 50mtrs away facing the Us flag and rape the hell out of it :laugh:

Sometimes there is only the one spawn though, or a carrier. If they spawn on the carrier they'll get blown up and won't be able to get to land, if they spawn on land they can spawn-killed.

For example Karkand, pretty much every server ive played on lately tries to enforce the rule that Usmc cant stay around the alleys to mow the Mec down, yet its perfectly acceptable for the T90 and Btr's to park say 50mtrs away facing the Us flag and rape the hell out of it :laugh:

I think the only time the real "spawn camping/raping" takes place is Wake/Dalian.. and pretty much any map where US's only spawn is the carrier and is uncappable.

Its late, im tired and i probably should have phrased it better :p

Uncappable flags i totally agree about, i rarely play maps with jets on, so i dont really experience that, but maps like Sharqi, Mashtuur, Karkand people seem to moan far too much about getting raped in some way or another. Like for example the karkand scenario i mentioned.

Just seems idiotic to me that people will spawn as a sniper/medic at a flag thats threatened by opposing armour and then moan constantly about it when the better option is to either spawn somewhere else (if possible to) or select the right kit to deal with the threat.

I say, if it's a city map, do whatever you want..

Say karkand... if you decide to go and sit in an alley of the hotel where the MEC spawns, thats FINE... if they are stupid enough to spawn there over and over again, they deserve to die.... lmao.

All they have to do is spawn at the square or even suburb and look for you.


But on the airmaps, I don't care about the spawn raping, as long as it's not the other guys ONLY base, like an uncap in the BEGINNING of the round.

Like wake, if the chinese lose EVERYTHING and only have one base, their fault.. they deserve it.

If it's the beginning of the map, don't rape the uncap... I say, wait for them to get a base, once they do that, rape the carrier all ya want.

I used to play DF3 a lot (yep, old game) where spawn raping was a real problem. After playing BF for a while now I have concluded that there is no such thing as spawn raping. The spwn points are either objectives or in some cases, when spawn points are uncapable, that is a team advantage (it really ****es me off when the US team on Karkand whines about spawn raping for example). Very rarely there is a map where both sides have an uncapable spawn point, and then it makes sense for both sides to refrain form attacking them for the sake of a better game. Otherwise whining about spawn camping or raping is just BS. If you are being supressed at a spawn, spawn somehwere else. If there is nowhere else then your team sucks and you are losing. Deal with it.

Fully agree. It's nice to be able to return the camping around on rare occassions.Managed to camp in a tank by chance on a small Gulf of Omaen map the other night and got about 7 or 8 kills in before they woke up. Couln't believe they kept on respawning when they still had another spot close by. Love the new guys aye. All those mistakes you used to do yourself and now grin when someone else does the same. :)

if you say the carrier have one spawnpoint jeesz no wonder people are whining.

I tell you a secret : there is a spawnpoint in the carrier not only on the carrier

It's rather rude to tell somebody that they don't have brains. Please be more polite in the future.

On Karkand, it's annoying when I spawn at Hotel and am killed in an instant by an APC. But then I'll probably just spawn somewhere else next time. On Wake, there is a such thing as spawn rape. Air power is rather unbalanced, so the PLA's airpower can pretty much destroy all of the boats and attack choppers the USMC have and prevent any of their jets or choppers from even getting a chance to lift a finger with their super-powered J-10's.

fair is fair each team has equal chance to get a spawn if the team is filled with lone wolf noob snipers guess what no spawn and let the rapeage begin

no crying no whining no calling for admins or their mommies fight or die that s the options

if a team cant beat a tank or two in teir spawn then they deserve what they get

if the enemy has a place to spawn, rape and pillage boys. Don't let them get organized, or they may escape.

Seriously, if they can't hold any of the cappable bases, should we all just wait for them to come out and take one back?

Although DICE clearly supports baserape (how else can you explain the utter
lack of defense in mains such as Oman), some admins don't and I totally
agree with them. If the MEC pilots get shot down ONCE on Oman they are
facing baserape the rest of the round.

Other maps like Dalian Plant, Dragon Valley, Daqin Oilfields and Fushe Pass
has an imbalance which is laughable. F-18 vs J-10? COME ON!! Due to DICE
****ty game design I believe it's a must to have some rules on these maps.

If you call it fun to spawn in the mainbase and watch all the hardware get
blown up as it spawns you have parts of your brain missing.

I support servers with rules and ofcourse I also PLAY on them. And ofcourse I will stop your F35 raping on Oman by firing at you with my AT kit. Whining? Get a fn clue.

IF YOU DONT LIKE TO BE CAMPED WORK AS A TEAM.
If you dont do it.....dont moan and don`t make silly server rules, like
Dont attack uncap flags...:)
Dealing with basecampers makes you better, or spawn at squad leader and get a FLAG.
