SF worth L96?

Okay, so I love to play as a sniper despite my skill (or lack thereof). I like being sneaky and stealthy. But before this turns into a thread flaming snipers for not helping the team, yada yada yada, I just want to ask one question.
Is it worth buying SF just to unlock the L96? AFAIK, you can use SF weapons in vanilla if you have it installed (and weapons unlocked). If I'm wrong, then I just wasted a post.

Just get a friend to go on your account in sf for one round and you will get the unlocks.

If you're not going to play SF at all, then it's probably not worth it. SF is a lot of fun IMO and a nice change of pace compared to vanilla.

If you just want the rifle, see if you know someone you trust who already owns it. Just have them log on and score a couple of points for you, then you should have access to the SF unlocks.

Actually, none of my friends play video games much because they all have jobs and ****. Guess I'm SoL then.

Yeah, thats true. Have a friend log into your account, have them play Special Forces on his/hers computer. Wala! Presto! Boom! You have weapons.

[EDIT] P.S.- You dont have a clan or members to a clan that you trust. I know a great clan and is VERY trustworthy. You should check out the 21st Stealth Squadren ([21stS-S]). Or I can even do it, I have SF and will be gladly to help anyone.

I don't have SF but I do have the M95 unlock and love it for range sniping.I would love to have the L96 but I'm not spending $$ just to get it.The only peep I would trust with my account at this point in my short BF2 career would be Wargimp IF I were inclined(and I'm not) to ask someone to perform this somewhat shady act for me.Like the fella posted B4,I have no friends that play BF2 online so I'm just SOL as well.

Yup, it's a badass gun for the hell freezes over moments when I'm a sniper.

Personally I like SF, though I haven't play much of it (just got a joystick, I'm learning how to fly a jet).

The other guns that come with it are pretty good G36E, F2000, L96, and M36. I'd say its worth it. Its a nice change.
