You could of let him kill you another time then punish and then he would of been kicked most likely.
Anyway ... dude if your in a Heli or some other vehicle and some douche is wasting there magazine on your vehicle , let him go right ahead and be a tard but you doing the same thing back just shows your as bad.
As for the question said in the topic title , suprisingly the answer is no , no its not ok ...
The only time i destroy a jeep for example, is when say on Wake china side driving up and grabbing a jet, then i would frag jeep, jump in jet that way the jeep spawns again from its original point.
Therefore the players that are spawning there have the jeep.

god i hate people to do that... just run to the plane it wont kill you....
jeeps are for those to drive around to flags not to supply you with an easy route to a plane its so fudging annoying when you have to run all the way to the airfield just to get a jeep
If your a sniper and about 2 feet away from him you can shoot at their heads all you like, does nothin, put 10 bullets into a medics head last night, all I got were great big puffs of dust.
there's a thing thats called hold "q" select "need pickup" and most of the time they'll come back and get you. no need to shoot at the vehicle.
If for some reason they don't stop or don't even respond, blow that mutha up.. haha jk, just talk shi*

A teamkill for something like that is dumb. Request a pick-up or request a vehicle drop.
Or, as much as it sucks, motor on foot. Most the time, on close combat maps, the vehicles blow up anyway... or at the very least attract all the initial gunfire. So if you're bringing up the rear on foot, you can use this to your advantage (as long as you aren't lightyears behind the fight, and it's over before you get there - then it won't work).
