Ok i'm having a problem with DL'ing Battlefield 2 onto my NEW PC

It did this on my last computer (one of the reasons i got a new one, other than needing to upgrade BADLY!)
So anyway, when i insert the first disc, i enter the CD key and it begins DL'ing, then at about 30-40% progress it says "BF2 Failed to install, please try again from the beginning"
Why am i getting this error? Has the CD somehow gone sour?
I know BF2 will work on this computer, the guy i bought it from had it installed on it before he cleared the HD along with about 6 other games of the same magnitude. And the fact that it did the same thing on my old computer makes me wonder what happened to the CD.
