I was browsing the BF2S leaderboard when I came across this guy:

Accounts for 98% of all kills.

I got tired of BF2 after 200 odd hours of tank whoring on karkand, I was about to shelf BF when I bought SF. It really changed the way I played, I discovered infantry combat again. So I guess what I'm saying is, karkand is addictive like crack. Easy points, lame brain tactics, full of junkies! Time for dice to come up with a new map to replace karkand as the #1.

I'm not a big fan of Strike at Karkand..

It's a good map and all, but it's over abused by stat farmers and vehicle whores.

REPLACE KARKAND???????!!!!!!!!!! NOOO NEVVERRR karkand is the coolest map in the game...they can make another one like it without armour or something...but still leave the old karkand...i dont like to just camp in a vehicle though,...thats gay...ive been camped many times and i dont like it so...why should i make other peopple as mad as i was when it happined to me..so keep karkand! and get rid of armour!!!! YAAYY we can still keep karkand and live happily-ever-after!! lol

The only maps that aren't whored out are crap maps. Then again Wake Island 2007 isnt really whored, the air stays in the air and the ground combat stays on the ground, tis good.

Interesting that you mentioned the word farmer, because that's exactly what it reminds me of. Gold farmers in WoW, stat farmers in BF2. :laugh:

Ok ok, I didn't mean replace completely. I was wishing for a new map that would be so good, people would make that one their number one. Something sort of like karkand except in the day (like mashtur maybe) with lots of roof access, and better spawn point placement (maybe on the roofs?). And possibly a linear flag progression, with no way to zip past the frontline to cap flags behind. Choppers and armor would be thrown in the mix obviously, but with some AA on roofs and TOWs here and there.

Some guy posted a great idea the other day, I forget who it was, but he suggested that Dice should hold a map contest for a week or two, and the winners would have their maps added in the next patch. Wouldn't it be nice?

Armour whore definition:

A BF2 gamer who knows no other way of playing the game, other than using armour for the sole gain of global points/kills, map after map after map after map.....

Ok ok, I didn't mean replace completely. I was wishing for a new map that would be so good, people would make that one their number one. Sounds like a cool idea. I prefer ONE pure infantry map though, no vehicles at all.

I wanna know how you can have 150 hours in a jet, and just under 2K kills.. with even MORE deaths.

I honestly think this guy went into near empty servers and got the vehicles, and just sat there not getting kills... so he could get all his experts for the 4 star general... rofl

That is pretty odd. I'm a useless pilot, but at 23 hours I've got over 1k kills and 'bout 2.5:1 KDR in the air.

Karkand is an amazingly good map as long as you know how to avoid raping from armor. You can't really escape aerial vehicles but you can when it coems to Armor , i mean you can outrun tanks for christ sakes so i don't know what the problem is with hiding from them.
