"Enemy mines spotted"

Like the title says... This is one thing i am missing in the game.
It's happend soo many times when driving around, when you see the mines,
and the guy next to you dont...
Wouldnt it be nice if they added that to the "spotted" list?
What do u guys think?

It should also place a marker (like a blue skull or something) over the enemy mine for 10 seconds. It's one thing to tell your teammates there's a mine but it needs to be visible once spotted. Its not always easy to see the mines especially if you are the driver.

I know there were a bunch of sound clips somewhere in the endless amounts of BF2 folders and I want to say that this may have been in there. Not sure why they wouldn't add such a seemingly obvious thing to the game

well since mines dont move they should have permanant markers on your radar or some thing

Desert Combat had that exact thing. Something to the effect of, "Enemy mines over here" It should have made it into this game as well.

I think many more people paid attention to that minimap in DC than this one. It would not mark where the mines were on the minimap, but you had to remember what base or area it was called out from, so that when you went there, you were mindful of them.

If they did implement it then the voice over would sound nothing like anything else in the game....here's an idea.

If you're in armor chances are you should be an engy, hope out and have the other guy cover you and you wrench those bad boys and then roam free or set your own mines down. Just a thought :)

No, those can be blown up at any time, and you can't really kill team-mates with those unless your stupid or your team-mate is. :|:

What I always thought of was a UAV spotting button, so you knew a UAV was in the air to go hide somewhere. /shrug

if you looked in the localization files, you'd actually see "enemy mines spotted' and like 6 others that aren't even in the game. they remove the commands from the game, but they left the text messages in the localization files.

You know, when you see mines and you stop up meters from them and a teammate drives along and he doesn't see them and he drives over them, killing himself and you :laugh:

It is kinda annoying that you also play engineer and you are removing the mines, but some of your teammates doesn't see the mines on the road and kills you in the process, when they drive over them

Would be nice if you could set up a Danger sign, with a big red skull on it on the road :laugh:

:laugh: Ah that brings up memories, i stood in front of a tank and all to stop him before running over enemy mines. I spam enemy mines all over the chat
and then proceed to start wrenching them. tool decides to go forward, blowing he and his passenger up, along with the full hummer stopped right in front of them, and yours truly.
