In the wake of the all the rootkit scandals, it seems that sony was not the only company not walking the straight and narrow. A group of reverse engineers recently debugged Punkbuster and found out that PB is actually uploading personal data to there servers. They are also actively scanning your harddrive, and uploading any "suspicious" .txt files
I guess they have no idea that is the way that anti-cheat works. All of the guys in that forum are afraid that their double amputee, albino, midget p0rn is in danger.
Yes, my mate came across it while were tring to clear my god damn name. Its PsB that ive got beef with anyways. Just thought some people might find this interesting. THe problem isnt the scan, Its the uploading of files. Is that nessasary??? For what purpose? Thats what i thought
well if it strams .txt files its not that big a deal. I dont think people give PB the credit they deserve there is oen supposed wall hack and everyones up in arms about PB
