Solo heli pilot, TV kills...

OK I have seen this a few times in game and always wondered how people can jump from flying the heli to the gunner seat and TV missle something?

I have tried it a couple times and the chopper always starts spinning when I switch seats making it very hard to find anything on the TV screen.

Do you just have to be super fast at targeting or is there some autopilot button I'm missing? :)

Just remap the keys for swithching pilot and gunner seat, so they are more easily accessable.

Line up your target to the right of your HUD, then the heli goes right just as you swith to gunner, and hud/tv should be in the proximity of your target. You then just need to quick switch to TV and fire and correct so it is directed at the intended target.

Yes, this is how it's done, usually by angling off a bit to the left of the target, then switching seats real fast, switch to the TV missles, and fire as fast as you can and redirect the missle en route.

People are using "MACROS" which makes it real easy. CHEESY CRAP

I don't need macros to do it.

Simply put line the TV-camera a little bit to the left of your target, then press F2 and then Right mouse button, and left mouse quickly. It's not very important when the first click goes - but how fast the missile is fired - (if the target is far from you), you can correct it later.

I switch the hard way aswell...It just takes practice. I am often better off by myself then with someone with me...

If you use a macro to do this your a a total loser...just like everything it takes practice. I have also noticed that if you put your heli at a slight angle (tilt left) when you switch to the gunners seat the heli does not spin as close to as fast as if you have not done this. Just my $.02

lol...ppl use macros because they dont have any skill.....they have hardware/software perform these maneuvers for them....

honestly....i think its pretty damn easy to do without any macros.....just aim left....switch seats...and when u see your target fire.....simple......just dont shoot it too far or your rotor will shut off, and ull need about as much time as it take to initially take off to get it going again (thanks to 1.3) i find this new feature cool.....but im never in the gunner seat that long anyway

Who gives a **** if a macro is used? Switching the hard way lol. Switching is easy as hell. All you do is click two buttons. If a macro did the switching for you, whats the diff? It does not improve your solo heli gunning. Its just the same. And as for the other macro, the one that clicks continuously so you can guide it very smoothly. It actually makes your tving WORSE. The macros dont enhance at all. They keep it the same or make it worse.

ok thanks guys... tried it a couple times by aiming a little to the left and it does work...

i can do it, so can my friends, but it's a real pain to do it properly.
