i install
bf2
then SF
then 1.22
then EF
then 1.3 is that what i do?//

No need to install 1.22. Use this order:

BF2 -> SF -> EF -> 1.3 -> AF (if you have it)

I think you are wrong.

My SF has patch 1.12 with it.

The 1.22 patch came out in March of 2006 while SF was released in 2005.

You should just do this:

BF2
SF
1.3 full patch
EF
AF
1.3 full patch

If you dont have AF, you still need to repatch 1.3 after installing EF to bring it up-to-date. You have to have at least patch 1.21 to install EF, so the 1.3 patch should work just fine.

I installed 1.3 after sf then the EF. then repatched with 1.3. That did not work. game hangs and get knocked to desktop. You can not install EF without 1.21 ot higher......I love EA. Anyone know the exact solution who has done it?

That is just a problem with the 1.3 patch itself. Some get it more than others. EA says they found a fix...until then try reinstalling the full 1.3 patch again. Also check for a patch log to see what happened. There are several posts about the patchlog file.
