need help please

ok i installed bf2 sf tonight, i try to play and this error message comes up, so i uninstalled it then installed it again and it came up again, does anyone know how to fix this, please help, thanks

I re-installed Special Forces this morning and had the exact same problem! I think it may be an issue with the recently released 1.3 patch. I didn't have this problem with SF before now.

I've been looking all over the place for a solution, but haven't had any luck. It seems ot be a recent problem which is why I suspect it has something to do with the latest patch.

Damn those EA programmers... one program leads to another, lol.

In another thread, I found the solution. Copying shader files from the zipped files fixed the game. However, I now get disconnected from servers and it tells me my client data is invalid. Err!

i just installed SF again yesterday, and i had the exact same error in the posted image. when installing SF it automatically started to patch to 1.1 when i've had 1.3 for awhile. i'm somewhat guessing that this is a part of the problem...

you have to install BF2 fresh, then install SF, then patch 1.3

i did this the other day and all is fine now
