    backing up the boosters

ok, i know you can find the setup.exe files in the EA Downloader directory, and back that all up on to a disc. i've actually done that already.

but i was thinking, in the event i actually need to go back to those discs to reinstall my boosters, can i just run the setup files right off the disc? or do i need to put them back in teh EA Downloader directories where they were before?

    Re: backing up the boosters

I think everything is on disk.

If you insert the disk into your CD rom drive (While holding shift to kill the auto play) you should see the contents of the disk in "CD ROM" right click "Explore"

I theorize that the booster packs are able to hunt for the proper path to install themselves. I keep Battlefield on a seperate RAID 0 set of hard drives and dont have to put in the path manually, they just install themselves to the proper drives and folder.

For others who have not yet learned how to backup the disk here is procedure:

    Type in:

    Start menu

    Search

Follow this path: C:\ drive, Program files, Electronic arts, EA Downloader, Cache, (You will find a folder with YOUR log in name), Folders with "Eagamesbf2 - 2006... etc etc etc"

The actual booster packs should be a folder by itself, check the file size to confirm the content.
