Whats the point????

Right, since 1.3 ive tried and tried give this patch ago, But more than ever now it seems all the decent players have just left this game and whats left is begginers and morons. I try my hardest be a teamplayer, Invite people to my squad just for them to wonder off do there own thing. As commander, use everything in my power to help out, like dropping Jeep for people in middle of nowhere, Either for them walk straight past it or in one case, Stand under it and die lol. I found that funny though. I been on a few servers this morning and all the ranks of people are so low and just dont know how to play the game at all.

As anyone else noticed the complete and utter lack of tewamwork since 1.3??? I swear theres only 13 year old kids left

Your kill rate should be getting better now with all these kids playing. TK's are up and the punishes are still happening.

you can't expect good teamwork in ranked servers... if you want teamwork join a good active clan that scrims and has matches... the game is 100x more fun if you play competitively

Where do you play, the last few times ive played its 99% of the people in the servers have been past luitenant rank.

Don't stereotype pvt rank, I have a 2nd account which is pvt, and I haven't really scored much points because my game crashes constantly and get connection errors and server crashes, but I was playing in a server before the round started and owned the admin several times, tv missile his jet twice and tv missile'd him and his friend 3 times in the attack heli. I was solo pilot and they banned me for aimbot lmao, should make a thread on it.

I kind of agree. In my case though I often find that hunting around for decent servers pays dividends but it seems harder and harder to find decent servers.

The good ones are often clan servers where one side is completely made up of the clanners that own the server and I generally find they completely dominate playing against a bunch of disorganised non-clanners. I'm not complaining about that of course, it's their server so it's their rules it's just that it's hard to find a decent server to play on when you are a casual gamer who's not really got the time to join a clan and play clan matches.

I play maybe for an hour a night and can't possibly guarantee to be available at a certain time for a match or whatever so I'm stuck in the middle and I HATE spending my precious playing time looking for a server.

I REALLY want to run my own server but can't afford it. I've posted many times on various boards to see if anyone would like to get together and run a server (you'd only need 4 or 5 people to make is cheap-ish) but no ones seems interested. I know it'd be complicated working out who's paid what, what maps people like, etc but it'd be so nice to be able to kick idiots and set it up as a non-clan but harder core than public server if you know what I mean. Maybe I could stick my neck out and pay for it and write a bunch of Python scripts to make it behave exactly like I'd want it and hope that people like it enough to hang around and donate to keep it going but I don't reckon people would pay.

Anyway, that's just me ranting. I know where you're coming from and it does seem like a shame.

More likely it's because the game is cheap now, and school is out just about everywhere so the kiddies have nothing else to do all day and night. At least in America, because you can bet they won't read a book or go outside and get some sun and exercise.

I find that there is teamwork, however just like before (and since release) you have to look for it.

A good omen is always when you click on a squad in the squad menu and see all the dots near to each other and when you join it that it has an order - they always turn out at the least alright because at least you have a common goal.

I'll join a squad for a few minutes and see how it is going. If there is no orders or the rest of the squad peels away from the leader I just leave and try another, or form my own.

Yes, im no **** player, i play for a clan called NUTZ, were an infantry clan and not conquest. Conquest is just a noob fest, specially with 'cartillery' lol

I just want play on servers where at least people can aim and like you say, have a common goal. I dont care if its not ranked. THe only 1 i found is DDD server, which is down at the mo

not the same old same old.... I still find squads that work well together... I still find squads that don't...

So for me the game is still the same ob pubs and your posts are still the same they were last week... so no change their either.

They are still a large number of extremely good players on BF2. I guess I must be the only one who is patient to wait for the new release of the 1.31 patch and we are all suffering across the world, so hang in.

As for team work. If you invite me to your team I will work with you so long as you don't just go off in a jet so I could not spawn on your point. That p*ss me off a lot of the time and point to a flag that is defend by all players other the other side.

The trick is to find a good team loads of online gamers are good at inviting you in and they invite you back if you are good and work as a team. Online people will come back when the patch is done if they love BF2 they will. Some move on to new games others are up set and will never return or some have been caught out cheating by PB or admins.

Sorry gone on too much once more. I will shut up now :laugh:

Simon1973 - Yes, i hate that too. Or commander flying a jet!!! haha. Bewildering. THey dont get any points for it. I have had enough of BF2 but theres nothing else out there yet unfortunitly that takes my fancy. I would like to have these last few months of BF2 to be good and give it some justice of what it could have been and play with some good people. And love me or hate me for it, I like single piloting heli's or if i can get a good gunner/pilot to work with even better, But those missles are a disgrace. ABout 40% of the time they go right through things lol. I just laugh now, otherwise ill cry haha.
