Mmmm, varmint hunting. Rodents, not taliban. Althought theyre pretty much the same thing. And from the original website where this video came from, I believe it said they were shooting .308s not .50s.

They are not snipers, but hunters, and they are shooting Varmints with normal hunting weapons. In fact, a guy, who claims to be one of the authors on strategypage said this: "Those are rock chucks. Being shot with a Sako L579 sporting a Krieger barrel chambered in 6AI. Range is only about 250 yards and closer on all those shots." He also said that they are from a "Varmint Safari" video film, which is, surprizingly, about people shooting at varmints, and he is prett annoyed by this sniper nonsense, mostly because this is copyright material.

I've seen this a lot, I've heard it was insurgents in Afghanistan and also some target practicing on animals. Whatever they are shooting though it is much larger than it appears, at least the size of a human. The reason they get blown apart and launched in the air is because they are getting hit with M95 50 cal sniper rifles. Those things carry as much momentum as a car hitting you at certain speeds and leave exit wounds the size of basketballs. Also if a M95 fires and the bullet goes within a foot of your head and doesn't hit you, you'll get knocked out.

Yeah, I know. This video pops up every few months. I first saw it on here about a year ago.
