Limit on BF2 game controllers?

Alright, a clan mate of mine is having problems using his CH products throttle and joystick along with his Nostromo n52. Now BF2 only seems to recognize two of the gaming devices, the n52 and the Throttle.

Its seems as if he can only use two game controllers at once. when he uninstalls the drivers for the n52 the game controllers list (in control panel) drops to two and then he's able to use his throttle and joystick.

Does anyone else have this problem? all help is greatly appreciated!

NOTE: the drivers for the n52 are necessary to run macro's which he would like to do.. otherwise he already uses it with the default windows drivers.

He could try a keyboard emulator program or just use a keyboard instead of the gamepad, keyboards are better.

He has to combine his stick and throttle to one device. I used all DX functions and mapped them in game. (But to do this I erased all aircraft and Helo controls first, then added the buttons to the config.)

I also have an n50 pad, but choose not to use it because the Dpad is "loose". But can still program it outside on it's own loadout manager and it functions in game as well.

The n50 and n52 are meant to replace regular keyboards or more like used in conjunction, and are not gamepads.

yes.. the n52 and n50 replace the keyboard. But how would he go about combining his throttle and stick into one device? I personally have my n52 and is use the xbox 360 controller for flying (works great) but fall under two devices so they both work fine, cant say the same for my clan mate though.

But the controller axis' must be left set to LINEAR. They cannot be adjusted or BF2 won't see them for some reason.

he's already used that yet.. the game still does not recognize the joystick
