...80% of the people i play against in clanwars perform this crouch/prone manoeuvre continuously and repeatedly, and deliberately (because they are aware of the mesh/hitbox exploit)

Damn that must be depressing to see people behaving like idiots and making the game look stupid using this exploit.

..its rarely performed by more than 1-2 people per ranked server (if at all)
but when a whole team performs it, its an entirely different story. (and if whole teams in ranked servers did perform it, id bet my money on threads like this appearing)

Yeah, you're quite right about that. I generally hang around on public servers and have not seen this before (or if I have I didn't realise what it was). It's useful to know it exists anyway and how easy it is to use. Personally, I couldn't play in a match where everyone was doing this and I was expected to do it too to survive more than a minute. I bet it looks rediculous and makes a mockery of BF2. Yet another thing that's ruining a brilliant game.

We played ARMS in a clan war and all of them do it. Many top clans do, THey have to cause all other tops clans do. ARMS also spawn block will is really annoying!!!

Yeah, you're quite right about that. I generally hang around on public servers and have not seen this before (or if I have I didn't realise what it was). Nuh, it's just rubbish IMHO. I'll NEVER use an exploit because that's the only way I can compete. I can think of nothing more pathetic than playing in a match where everyone is doing this, it must look just rediculous. I'm not going to "adapt" and use an exploit just to compete, I shouldn't have to.

Sorry if I'm treading on people's toes here, I'm sure a lot of you are clanners who do this (maybe because you've got no choice or maybe because you're fine with it) but it just seems wrong to me. Of course it's a free country, of course if you've no problem doing it then that's your choice but to me it's stupid and it would be great for it to be fixed.

If everyone on pub servers started doing it then I'd be absolutely gutted.

I'm happy to boot someone if they persist in being a retard on our server regardless of whether or not its directly stated in the ROE. If its exploiting something in a way making the game less enjoyable for the majority of other people then sod off.

did you know what the simple solution was against dolving diving.
pressing z key will not work when you are in the air jeesz but instead they making cournhing alot slower

or just go back to the old bf1942 style jeeszz (olmost the simpelst solution out there)

Why should they be shot be someone spazzing around or jumping into the air as soon as they see him? Why can the clan players not play it in the spirit of the game, rather than the Must-Win-At-All-Costs mindframe. In the end it is a game and if someone can't enjoy it because they are being beaten by someone who is seemingly behind a solid wall then I can understand that.

My clan quickly said good bye to Clan Matches in BF1942 because the level of lameness was astounding, we just went back to enjoying ourselves playing the game as it was meant to be played with others.

I just finished a game on a public server and got killed by this one guy who was doing a variation of that move. He's however seemed like he was almost "hovering" in the air whilst he was proned. He kept doing that sh!t and killed a few guys, until like 10 players (most of whom he killed) all swarmed near him and proceeded to empty round upon round on him.

I'm only new to BF2 and things like this already put me off it. I'm glad I haven't been around for all the other exploits that people have been abusing in the past.

Stick to your clan boards and your clan ladders and leave us normal people alone. 90% or more of BF2 play has nothing to do with clan ladders or these super awesome "competitive" players, period, end of discussion. I'm in a clan but its nothing more than a group of pals who play together. We have the occasional scrimmage but that isnt our focus, and guess what, we are the majority.

There are two things you clan kids dont realize.

1. This game and its developers respond to the masses, the majority, and you arent it.

2. The very simple fact that you super 1337 clan people clammor over something means its probably lame and probably hurting general gameplay. (Exhibit A: Squad Hopping, Exhibit B: Dolphin Diving)

Nobody cares what your opinion is, broken english or otherwise, stuff it.
