considering that is competitve play... is that also considered fun? seems more like an exploit to pre-obtain where the shells are gonna go. that's why i stopped playing competitively... it's no fun.

I remember watching that match. The pixel shooting was cool but the best part was the very beginning. The timing they had was perfect. They waited for the other team to attempt to cap the center base and as their teammates arrived they bombed the enemy capping the flag.

a little bit OT, but can you tell me of a site where we can download BF2 clan match demo files? There are many sites like this for CS:SOURCE and WOLF:ET but i cant find any for bf2 :s

I'd like to see the gameplay of the pro players. Thx in advance.

This was pretty common practice in Desert Combat mod and is alot easier to pull off than you think.

Just go into a local server and have a buddy spot your rounds for you. Make sure you always park in the same spot and make sure it is a spot that you can park into consistently. Fire away towards the flag that has the intended target, have your buddy tell you how far off you are and if your close enough you can see it in commander mode. After you have a good spot down, blow the tank up that you were using and test it for repeatability and speed of setting it up, then join a pub and have fun. This type of stuff is very useful for clan matches where destoying the other teams assets before they can actually use them is a big help.

In DC with the big splash damage on the howitzers and missile launching trucks, you could just annihilate the other teams bases if you knew all the spots.

damn i'll have to try this. Seems very hard to get the tanks in the exact same spots though. Might have to try something easy like parking it directly against a known structure ie. sand bags, small fence etc.
