Throwing C4?

I heard that since patch 1.3, you can throw C4 again but I don't seem to be able to. Anyone care to explain?

The timing is extremely tight, it can be done but it's not easy. forward+jump & fire, note: forward in walk mode not sprint. Practice it in single player.

Yeah. Not exactly how dangerdog said it. You can do a full out sprint and throw it like 15-20m.

Its not hard timing at all, but ive never played spec ops when i could throw C4, so its no benefit to me cause i never think to use it...

I haven't seen it abused like it was before, it's useful for trying to toss it over a fence.

I can time it so I can do it by sprinting but let's start off with the basics.

Stand still and jump + click. Not at the same time but very close together. Aim up or down and it will change how long it is airborn.

It's not as good as it used to be but now you can throw it a lot higher and a bit farther. This means you can get it over walls now and on top of some buildings. It also means you can throw it in the middle of the road and not get killed by armor.

The trick is, left click BEFORE you hit jump. Just a split second though.

Once you know that, you can sprint, let go of shift, and RIGHT after you do that, do the click + jump while still holding W.

c4 chucking leaves you as a sitting duck unless your chucking it over a fence or wall.

I agree, but so far every thread concerning C4 throwing has been deleted, or maybe moved to a moderater forum.

I agree, little things like this don't really mean much. It's nowhere near as game destroying as someone hiding inside a building and killing helpless players.

Pilioka is right, it is no where near as effective as before. Trying to toss it at even some what decent infantry in the open will get you killed quick.

It is EXACTLY the same as the old C4 tossing. You guys aren't doing it right if you think that it isn't as effective.

I could see it being effective and abused if someone were using a keyboard macro, it's not as easy as it was in previous versions nor can you effectively use it like a hand grenade like before.
