Anybody else underwhelmed or unimpressed with the SCAR-L?

I've been playing Spec Ops more lately and I've discovered that the SCAR-L is nothing short of a downgrade from the G36C and even the M4. Maybe its the sound, maybe its the poor accuracy at medium/long range (even Prone in single-shot mode)... the gun just frustrates me.

If it were a few damage more powerful or more accurate with that red-dot scope I can see using it, but as it is now, its kind of a waste, no?

Just venting, when I got this unlock I was all excited but felt very deflated when I put it to use.

Buff the SCAR-L!

It's not a bad gun... but I always seem to find myself doing better when I take the G36C out to play. So I do regret unlocking the SCAR-L because although it's reasonable (I've never thought it sucked, it just wasn't as good as the G36C IMO) it's no better than the other unlock I already had. Ditto with the MG36. It's a good gun, and I like it a lot... but I can count on one hand the number of times I've taken it over the PKM...

I actually liked teh SCAR-L, it has a randomness to it that it sort of feels like the m4 of CS:S. if you're used to the randomness of the spray, shooting sprays, its an uber awesome weapon. even far away shots. it getsa a bit to get used to, but dont say it sucks, every gun has its attribute...

The numbers say that the SCAR-L should be a better gun, but I have much better results with the G36C and even the M4. Not sure if it is because I didn't use it enough or what.

Its just a matter of learning the dynamics of the gun. If you speant a lot of time with the SCAR, you would be great.

Yeah, thats exactly my complaint... every time I pull out the SCAR-L I can feel my accuracy score dropping by the minute. The Rate of Fire is too low I think... the G36 I can hold the trigger for a half second and get a nice 3-4 round burst off and land usually 2 of them minimum, same thing with the SCAR-L and I am lucky to hit one shot.

And that's with a frickin laser-site.

I don't care much for the gun at all, and I do feel it is a downgrade from the g36c. So what if it is more powerful, only by 2 points might I add, it just sucks everywhere else.

I tried it out on a free for all server as I play mostly Spec-Ops and I have to admit it was pretty poor.

I'm glad I stole one off someones corpse and had a bit play, because I had been thinking of using a hard earned unlock on it.

I would of felt proper robbed if I'd bought it without trying it.

i'm quite surprised at the scar-l's accuracy in semi-auto.

its like a sniper rifle
