Other good MP games out now?... or soon to be released?

I like the BF gameplay but I have been playing Clancy games (Rainbow Six Line - Never really got into ghost recon) since '98 online... they're what got me started. Rainbow Six Lockdown seems like BS tho, but better then GR: Advanced Warfighter.

I guess I'm waiting for 2142, but I would like another game to play over the summer, since I average about 3 games before a "connection error" or a CTD.

I thought communities had high hopes for Oblivion, hows that MP? Also how's F.E.A.R.'s MP game play?

Throw up any good game names that you guys might have.

Oblivion doesen't have MP...it's singleplayer only. FEAR's multiplayer component is pretty basic from what I've heard. Check out Unreal Tournement 2004. It has an mode that's similar to BF2. Without the constant armor whoring and glitches. I would strongly reccomend that you NOT buy 2142. It's likely to come with the same bugs and rediculous player-bigotry and imbalences that BF2 has (the new "Mech" unit looks like one of the worst ideas ever.)

probobly you will have the same problems in next bf becous the engnin is like in bf2 with some modifications so if they cant fix bf2 problems sow they wont fix 2149

Have faith. Its a completley different branch of DICE working on 2142.

I think this game will destroy BF2 forever. Supposedly it's made by the guys that originally developed BF2 (the ones that EA canned).

Fear's multiplayer is pretty fun, but you really should pick up UT2004 (great game). Plus, theres always cs:s, which is great if you find a good server. I'd also say qw, but it won't be coming out until september at the earliest.

The minute i read dice sold out to EA, i sorta said...........

oh well....beginning of the end. I think its fair to say that'll be fairly accurate.

I mean......a smooth running, moderatly bug free, enemy territory? Or a complete monster eating, resourse hog, glitch fest, patch for years, 2142?
Not to mention, when you dont buy 2142, you dont help EA, thats the best part.

I feel bad though, saying that. Only because DICE has provided me with some cheap, long lasting good times online. But then again, most of that time was spent with a mod, called Desert Combat. Which is like BF2, only better in most aspects. So then again.....maybe i dont feel so bad.
Oh and frontlines does look good.
