Bombers Need Radar?

Hey guys, just to make a quick suggestion before i head off to uni.

I was thinking the other day, how difficult it is for bombers to out run fighters. So i was thinking, just to give the co-pilot something more to do, how about having a small range radar, that the co-pilot can monitor. When an enemy fighter is close, it can be detected and the the pilots can work together to 'stay clear' of the fighter.

It would be handy, add a little more realism, and maybe increase the survivablilty of the bombers, espicially if up against the j-10.

If the world was perfect...this would be a good idea.

Two problems here....

1: Completely unecssecary
2: Its dice....even if they tried to code it (which they wouldn't due to lack of profit) they would probably end up causing more bugs...

I could live with that. It needs to be able to resist a direct hit by a tank. Or all the bombs that a bomber can drop :p

Absolutely not! Bombers dont need radar! They rape too much as is, if you get shot down by a Fighter Plane then you need to be more careful of how you bomb because you arent that good. 99/100 I can take out a J-10/F35/Mig-29 with a bomber no problem.

Anyways, I think that bombers do not need radar. If you are a good enough bomber you can avoid fighters.

Radar's for planes isn't such a bad idea but it isn't really needed in bf2, In desert combat the planes had local radar's but the planes weren't overpowered either as stinger sites were effective as were the soldier carried ones were also. Its truely the only weapon I miss in bf2.

Then again, if you added radar capability it would be much harder for their only real viable predator (other fighters) to take them out by surprise.
