not to sure where i posted.... :S but hey i installed the 1.3 patch and for some reason when i go to play the game is really jumpy... it will play fine for a few seconds then be jumpy for a few then be jumpy again over and over and over again... anyone know anything about this?

sorry im not to good with this forum layout its a lot different than all the other forums im on... but yea... can someone help a noob out

i had installed the incremental to 1.3 and I got connection problems all the time. I then downloaded the full patch and just patched over the faulty one et voila now it works fine. Hope that helps. Keep in mind it could just be the patch though.

I know it's a pain in the ass, but try this:

-Uninstall BF2 then run defrag, reboot
-Reinstall BF
-Install 1.3 full patch, the incrememntal has given a lot of people various issues.
Try updating the videocard drivers too, that seems to have helped me.

What i did, completely unrelated to this problem, was spend an entire day defragging. i did it just because it had been a while, but i noticed the amount of time i had lagging and jumping around at the beginning of a round was significantly reduced. May be related, may be not.

I use that diskeeper 10 program, that makes a BIG difference. I thought the regular Windows defrag was good ennough. Not at all. Diskeeper will make sure everything is put back in it's place, it takes a long time to finish too, but it's worth it. I wouldn't say that it is unrelated, as long as it helps it's related to the solution.
