Is there a fix to the "problem with connection" issue yet?

I haven't been on the forums for a while. After trying to play the game today it kept telling me there's a problem with your connection. I couldn't complete a single round and tried for a little over an hour. I read on here this has something to do with the 1.3 patch. Does anyone know a workaround yet? Or is there a patch already to fix that?

PS: Sorry if this has been brought up too many times before.

two things:
1) wrong forum. this goes in support
2) could possibly be your internet connection.

No there has not. It's an issue with 1.3 making servers highly unstable and crash prone. Until you see 1.31 come out don't expect any improvement.

Heck, ive always had a problem with connections. Not as bad as post 1.3 but still...

Ok, I see. Just tryed again. Sadly it's not working at all for me. Most of time I get disconnected right after I joined. I also doubt it's my connection cause other games work online but then again who knows.

RingPirate if your getting disconnected right after you join, you actually may be crashing the server due to a corrupt install. Where did you donwload your patch from? People who have downloaded the full patch from EA downloader were crashing the server when they joined, chose the spawn point then clicked ok and they would cash the server. Also there is talk that the incremental patches are also doing this.

I would download you patch from somewhere else, get the full patch.

^^ Exactly. You're likely causing crashes. DL full 1.3 patch from anywhere but EA and try again.

Holy **** and I thought I was cursed cause some of the servers I joined really went down right after I joined. I downloaded the incremental form multiplay.co.uk ftp server on the day it was released. I'll get the full patch. Thanks for the info.

For what it's worth, my entire clan has since gone to the full patch after this talk of the incrimentals being at fault and had no crashes when it was just us playing. Coincidence or proof....who knows.

It's prolly because we both admin/own servers. Think before you speak.

WDA_Endless954 did you reinstall BF2 and patched afterwards or did you roll back or did you just patch over the the faulty 1.3 incremental (if that is possible)?

how would u ever get absolutely everyone to use full?increments are already out there

No offence taken. Just the internet man.

I always use the full patches anyway, so I never had the incrimental in the first place. Patching with full over incrimental should work fine, if not go all out.
